Gan Noar

Bat Yam’s Jewish Education Program (Gan Noar) is an innovative program where we aim for kids to feel connected, nurtured and happy. How they learn here is just as important as what they learn.

Feeling part of the Bat Yam community, building friendships and feeling connected to Judaism are some of the key components to helping our children become committed Jewish adults.

In addition to the amazing learning and experiences that take place in the classrooms, our children participate in many school-wide activities and events. All of our students enjoy time in the art room, music, connections to our madrichim (teenage assistants), outdoor fun, team building, mitzvah projects, community t’filah time, family programs and so much more.

Our teachers nurture and educate our kids in a way that leaves the students feeling excited about their Judaism. Our PreK-3rd graders are taught in a project-based, experiential manner with a great deal of hands-on learning.  4th-6th graders learn Hebrew in level-based prayer groups and participate in chugim (clubs) like film making and journalism. Our 7th-10th graders delve into issues of ethics, morals and how Judaism fits into their daily lives and decision making.  Our 11th & 12th graders become madrichim where they gain specialized training/work experience and learn to work with younger students, prepare for college and even get paid!

In addition to the education program, our 6th-12th graders are offered the opportunity to participate in youth group, which allows them to form bonds of friendship and community with other Jewish kids through informal get-togethers, field trips, social action events, leadership training and more.

Jewish journeys are lifelong experiences. It is so important to enroll children young so they gain an early love of Judaism and keep them here through their high school years to help secure a life-long connection to their Judaism.

Please contact us anytime so that we can share more about our programs and learn about your family. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing in your child’s Jewish journey.
