Filling Empty Bowls
On April 8, 2010 Temple Bat Yam was a Host Site for the 8th Annual “ Filling Empty Bowls “ Dinner to benefit the Cooperative Feeding Program of Broward County. In exchange for a $10 donation, participants were served soup in a decorative bowl which they kept. The bowl and the soup are symbolic of the food many of us enjoy every day while many of our neighbors and their children go without. Temple Bat Yam is involved in an on-going affiliation with the Cooperative Feeding Program, and will be collecting donations to assist this wonderful agency in their efforts to feed the hungry of Broward County. The Program is coordinated by Temple Bat Yam’s Social Action Committee.
