Sisterhood Coni Foster
Sisterhood has a new line up of officers and committee chairs that are enthusiastic about sharing their talents and skills to make the coming year the best. Serving with me are Edna, Treasurer; Lois, Recording Secretary; Susan, Corresponding Secretary; Janine and Marie, Membership; Rusti, Public Relations; Melissa, B'nai Mitzvah Presentations; and Alma, Phone Tree.
Elaine will make sure that all the oneg goodies are ordered and Kathy will work with Jeanne t to call oneg sponsors. Our sincere thanks to Debra for her many years of service, providing the goodies for our fabulous oneg. We will work hard to live up to the high standard Debra has set.
Alma and Alma will co-chair the Yom Kippur Break-the-Fast on Thursday, October 9th, Janine and Marie will co-chair the Paid Members Breakfast, Sunday, November 2nd; Mable will chair the Garage Sale, Sunday, December 7th, Ellen will chair Israeli Café Night, Saturday, January 24th. Save these dates and let me know to which events you too would like to share your talents and skill to help make these events successful. Join us at the next sisterhood meeting Thursday, August 21st. Though there has been a lot of planning taking place, I will enjoy my grandchildren during their brief visit to Florida. I hope you will be enjoying the remainder of the summer as well.
Save Your Junk Sisterhood Garage Sale
It's time once again to put aside your unused items in your home that is just collecting dust. Sisterhood will once again be having a garage sale on December 7th. Because of lack of space, we won't be accepting these items until about a month before the sale. If you have any questions, please email me at mablek@comcast.net. There will be more information as we get closer to the date. Volunteers welcome to help sort, price and sell.
WOMAN OF THE YEAR HONOREE
Sisterhood members, it is time to once again nominate a Woman of Honor. Take a few minutes and look around at all the wonderful Temple Bat Yam women and their accomplishments whether it be in the Temple or in the community.
To be considered for this honor, the woman must be a member of our Temple and actively engaged in these endeavors.
The recipient will be the honoree of the Flower Fund and will also be honored with an engraved brick on the patio.
Watch your mail for the Sisterhood flyer.
