If you are interested in making friends, strengthening your Jewish identity and serving the synagogue and community, then Temple Bat Yam’s Sisterhood may be the perfect group for you!

Sisterhood’s dynamic programming provides a variety of avenues for Members to connect with other women, with Judaism and with the community. Throughout the year, Sisterhood presents educational programs and hosts social gatherings, trips, workshops, special holiday events and much more.

Sisterhood’s creative programming for the coming year includes a literary Lilith Salon, where members discuss articles from Lilith magazine; a day of beauty at GBS Beauty Store; zumba dance classes; and a craft night for kids. Sisterhood oversees Consecration, Confirmation and the annual Purim carnival.

Through community outreach, Sisterhood provides funding and volunteer support for many programs, projects, and services in South Florida and nationwide. Groups supported include H.O.M.E.S., Inc., a local affordable housing charity founded by a Temple Bat Yam Member; the Jewish Braille Institute; Women of Reform Judaism YES Fund; and World Union for Progressive Judaism.
