Selichot

WHAT: Temple Bat Yam, a reform synagogue in East Fort Lauderdale, invites the community to prepare for the High Holy Days at Selichot, the first service of the High Holy Days and the first communal opportunity to renew our process for atonement.  The evening will begin with coffee and light refreshments, followed by a Havdalah service marking the end of Shabbat and finally the Selichot service.

Selichah means forgiveness. The service includes some of the penitential prayers and themes around which the High Holy Days services are centered.
